We are seeking a dynamic Marketeer to oversee and implement cellular promotions and campaigns across various media platforms. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, responsibilities include budget management, events coordination, and comprehensive training adherence. Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders and networks to maintain Connect brand relevance and uphold the Ackermans brand promise.

We’re a fully in-office team, based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.

So, what will you do?

1. Expense Management

  • Manage and control the budget

2. Advertising Operational Plan

  • Plot and develop, execute & co-ordinate the cellular promotional calendar

3. Stakeholder Management

 

  • Build relationships and co-ordinate all communication between networks, manufacturers, their ad agencies and cellular team, operations, and stores regarding promotions

4. Marketing initiatives & Training

  • Support cellular team with initiatives: training & promotions

5. VM Alignment

  • Liaise with visual merchandising team regarding visual representation of cellular in the business

What experience and qualification is required?

 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant marketing experience gained in a marketing / advertising / agency environment.
  • A National Diploma / Degree in Marketing Management / Advertising or equivalent qualification
  • Retail experience would be advantageous
  • Experience working for or with a Telecommunication provider would be advantageous

KNOWLEDGE required:

  • Product knowledge
  • Network and Agency systems and procedures
  • Production house systems and procedures
  • Media partner systems and procedures
  • Finance and invoicing systems and procedures
  • Visual merchandising
  • Working knowledge and understanding of media terminology
  • Knowledge in advertising / marketing platforms

SKILLS required:

  • Communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional planning, organizing and time management skills
  • Networking skills and the ability to be resourceful.
  • Proficiency in the latest Microsoft Teams & packages (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook) is an important requirement.

So, what will you do?

  • Ensuring the accurate distribution of seasonal stock to optimise sales.
  • Ensuring the optimal distribution of non-seasonal and seasonal replenishment stock to optimise sales.
  • Delivering a location plan that allows for the clustering of stores at the required product level.
  • Delivering seasonal and non-seasonal replenishment profiles at the required product level.
  • Supplying inputs to the Seasonal look for the required visual merchandising.
  • Analysing store performance and providing accurate and timeous information in order to optimise business decision making.
  • Ensuring new stores are stocked to plan.
  • Assisting stores in resolving any queries relating to stock.

What experience & qualifications do you need?

A minimum of 2-3 years sound experience in store planning within a clothing retail environment is an important requirement.

The following additional experience would be ideal:

  • Previous store management experience
  • Previous exposure to general logistics and supply chain processes
  • Experience working in planning systems such as Location Planning, JDA Allocation Planning and/or Just Enough
  • Experience in Outerwear
  • A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word & Excel) is essential.
  • Experience in working at an advanced level in Excel would be a definite advantage.
